I am looking for information on my maternal grandmother's side of the family. Her grandfather was Gottlieb Albrecht, b. November 20, 1831 in Zuelshagen, Province Pommern and died December 24, 1919. He is buried at the Monthalia Lutheran Church Cemetery, Monthalia, Gonzales County, Texas. He was married to Emilie Schulz, b. December 26, 1834 in Birkholz, Province Pommern, and died January 22, 1923. She too is buried at the Monthalia Lutheran Church Cemetery, Monthalia, Gonzales County, Texas. They had five children: (1) August Albrecht, b. March 14, 1859, in Pomerania. He married Bertha Golsch May 13, 1889 in Gonzales, Gonzales County, Texas. They are both buried in the San Fernando Cemetery No. 2, San Antonio, Bexar County, Texas. My grandmother, Gertrude Johanna Albrecht Heinsch, was one of four children born of this union. (2) Karl Albrecht, b. abt. 1861. (3) Elisa Maria Albrecht, b. March 4, 1864, in Dramburg, Province Pommern. (4) Edward Albrecht, b. April 2, 1866, in Retzig, Province Pommern, d. March 12, 1935 and (5) Herman Edward Albrecht, b. November 27, 1867, in Retzig, Province of Pommern. It seems that this family mostly settled in and around Gonzales County, Texas. I do have additional information. Jean (Anz) Gilmore.
