Amy,
I am the niece of your grandfather James Leroy Albin b. 4-20-1892 at Hardinville, Crawford Co., IL.
The Jacob Albin you are looking for is John Jacob "Jake" Albin b. abt. 1827 in Nelson Co., KY son of George Albin and Nancy Foxworthy. He according to family married Elizabeth Burriss of Hutsonville, Crawford Co., IL.I did find a Jacob Albin that married an Elizabeth Smith on 4-3-1846 in Harrison Co., IN, but can't believe this is our Jacob maybe Elizabeth was married to a Smith before Jacob, I don't know yet. Jacob's parents moved from Nelson Co., Ky to Vigo Co., IN with Nancy's father, James Foxworthy, and her brothers and their families when Jacob was very small.Jacob was a cooper by trade and settled in Trimble, Crawford Co., IL.

Amy I hope this helps, if you want a copy of Aunt Sid's handwritten history tell me and I will send it.Let me know where your gaps in our lineage are and maybe I can be of help.
