I am not researching this family, just entering information from the book "Pioneers of Old Monocacy" by Tracey & Dern:
"Northwestward of Monocacy River from the mouth thereof, up the same river to the fording place where the Conestoga Path crosses the same, near one Albine's plantation, and then to the northwestard of the said Conestoga Path until it meet the Susquehanny River.' The fording place to which this record referred was near the mouth of Linganore Creek and is known today as Hughes Ford."
Concerning Manor Monocacy Road - "...south from Keysville, staying exclusively on the east side of the Monocacy until it met the road from Ogle's Ford. But from that point the Manor Road continued all the way to the ford at Thomas Albin's plantation. His land 'Albin's Choice' was located on the west side and in a bend of the Monocacy River, 'being a place called Oleakin,' where a portion of the Frederick Airport is situated today. The fording place, later known as Hughes Ford, was just above the mouth of Linganore Creek at the south end of 'Albin's Choice,' east of today's Airport and about three-quarters of a mile north of where U.S. Highway 40 corsses the River."
The map shows "Albins Choice" to Thomas Albin, Nov. 23, 1724, near "Pipe Meadow" which was owned by one of my ancestors, John VanMetre, Jr., dated Aug. 1, 1729.
"The records yield little or no information concerning Thomas Albin whose 300 acres of 'Albin's Choice' lay close by the VanMetre property. His parcel had been surveyed for John Redford on November 23, 1724 and patented to him in 1726. Radford posted a bond for 100 pounds guaranteeing that he would deliver to Albin by May 1, 1727 all 300 acres of 'Albin's Choice.' After Albin's death his administrators James and Mary Thatcher conveyed the land to Captain Robert Debutts by means of an assignment attached to this bond which was then recorded again on August 3, 1750, this time in Frederick County."
There were quite a few more mentions of the land, but I did not see any information on a wife or children.
