Bob
My third Great Grandfather was Isaac Albertson, born 27 December 1798 in New Jersey, died 22 November 1867.He married Martha --?--.
In the 1830 census I found 4 Isaac Albertson’s in the New Jersey census.
Isaac Albertson, age 30 to 40 – Gloucester Township, Gloucester County – probably my ancstor.
Isaac Albertson, age 30 to 40 – Newton Township, Gloucester County.
Isaac Albertson, age 20 to 30 – Newton Township, Gloucester County.
Isaac Albertson, age 40 to 50 – Oxford Township, Warren County
In the 1840 census I also found 4 Isaac Albertson’s in the New Jersey census.
Isaac Albertson, age 30 to 40 – Waterford Township, Gloucester County - my ancestor.
Isaac Albertson, age 20 to 30 - Gloucester Township, Gloucester County – not the one in the 1830 census.
Isaac Albertson, age 40 to 50 – Newton Township, Gloucester County.
Isaac P. Albertson, age 30 to 40 – Newton Township, Gloucester County. This is Isaac Pine Albertson who married Martha Haines. This family has been researched and are not my ancestors.
In the 1850 census there were 8 Isaac Albertson’s in New Jersey so I won’t get into them all.
Isaac Albertson, age 50, and his wife Martha, age 48 were living in Gloucester City, Camden County, my ancestor.
Isaac R. Albertson, age 40, wife Ann, age 36, in Frelinghuysen, Warren County. Is this Isaac Reed Albertson?
The 1860 census has 10 Isaac Albertsons including
Isaac Albertson, age 60, and his wife Martha, age 58 living in Waterford Township, Camden County, my ancestor.
Isaac R. Albertson in Frelinghuysen, Warren County.
Now my question.
I would like to know if the visitor to your July meeting is descended from one of these Isaac Albertson’s and, if so, which one?I know very little about my ancestor. He had two daughters I know of, Mary Ann, born 20 July 1823, my second Great Grandmother, and Sarah, born about 1839.Isaac’s Will states his adopted daughter, Elizabeth Watson, is to share equally with his other daughters but does not list those daughters by name.
I guess I will have to attend your August meeting.
