Linda -

It certainly seems that we are haveof two different Jacob Albertsons

The one I wrote of was born in 1783! He is grandfather to another Jacob born in 1833 in Prarie Township Ohio. (no date of death) The sr. Jacob actually had two wifes and had two young children at his death in March, 1862. The will lists two other children (from first wife) as heirs Joseph A and another Jacob H!! See Yvonne's #511 (511 is continuation of 510). Note that her article indicates some folk moving to Ottumwa, Iowa.

Your Jacob is posibly the son of John Albertson, whose wive Nancy (Bell) had 13 children, 11 surviving. At her Death in 1879 there were 62 gchildren and 43 ggchildren!!John is the younger brother of the senior Jacob.

This John is my ggggrandfather. Following the chain in Yvonnes postings: [6] is Elam R Albertson Born Nov 6, 1762 - (at least) two of his sons Jacob Born March 24, 1783 and John born 1794 Homesteaded in Ohio in Holmes and Crawford counties.

Sorting it all our is confusing with so many named the same.
