In your research have you run across a Thomas D. Elliott who married Elizabeth Watkins October 14, 1838 in Tippecanoe County, Ind? He had two children from this marriage, Martha and Jacob (Jacob is my ggrandfather). On the 1850 Warren County, Ind. census he and his children were living with his brother, Robert, so I assumed Elizabeth died sometime after 1844 and before 1850. According to the 1860 Fremont Co, Iowa census, a son William A. was born about 1851 in Indiana. I don't know who William's mother was. Thomas D. then married Amanda M. Smith in Warren Co. Ind. on September 12, 1852 and they had several children, Emma F, S.K., Simon G,Rachel D, Amanda E, and Mary.
Any help you can give me would be greatly appreciated.
