Isaac Albee was born in Rutland Co., VT, in 1807. At the age of nineteen he accompanied his parents to Plattsburgh, N.Y., and a few years later to St. Lawrence Co., N.Y. From there he came, in 1832, to Cowlesville, N.Y., and purchased a farm. He has served some time as highway commissioner and overseer of the poor. In 1827, he married SOPHIA LINCOLN, daughter of Elias Lincoln (deceased), of Beeington,VT. In 1876 he married NANCY GRISWOLD, of Darien.
