I am trying to determine birthplace of Lt William Albee born 1746. His monument in East Machias says he was born in Blackstone ,Ma. but at that time Blackstone was still part of Mendon. His parents lived on Westport Island, Maine. Jean Albee Obediah's wife would have been in her 40's when he was born and possibly went to Mendon to be with her parents as Obediah was still battling indians. I believe in my seach i found a list of christening in Westport with his name haven't been able to rediscover it. He must be of my line as it was my grandfather's brother that had his monument erected.
Also i found in the 1790 census Obediah Albee living in Boothbay Maine with two woman ,don't know if this was Obediah born 1705 or Benjamin's son Obediah. But its possible as i know Jean lived to be 90 and perhaps Obediah who would have been 85.
Any help or info appreciated
