Hi Wendy,
I am certain that Aguakastro is in fact Argirokastro city in Southern Albania close to the Greek border. Aguakastro is a misspelling. There is no other Albanian village, town or city that comes close to such a name. It is called Argirokastro or Kastro by the Greeks (there is a sizeable Greek population there) and Gjirokaster by Albanians. You will mostly find it written as Gjirokaster. It is situated between Saranda, Tepelene and Permet cities in southern Albania. Ioannina is the closest Greek city on the other side of the border. Hope this helps. I went to high school there in early 1980ies.
