Hello, If there is a marriage record in Albania where you can find the maiden names / nationality of married women, someone could search for a Finnish woman with family name Nevalainen. I would think that during history not so many people from Finland have ended up as far as Albania... What I know is that she married an Albanian man, stayed there, had children, during some chaotic period tried to leave country, but decided to return since her child died during the boat trip, and that is the last information that reached her family in Finland about her. This was decades ago. I would think she moved to Albania somewhere around 1930s-1950s. I try to dig up her name somehow, but fact is her Albanian surname has already been forgotten.... Any children left of her in Albania would be my granny's cousins, and now when the borders are open again, there would be a chance to find them. best, - jv Notify Administrator about this message?
