In my opinion "Maho" is more likeley his last name. Albanians are not usually given middle names. However, when one wants to clarify the person in question, they sometimes put this person's father's name in the middle. This is not an official middle name though, and that's why it would not be in official documents. At the same time, it is possible for someone to take on a grandfather's first name as his/her family name. "Maho" however, does not sound to me like a first name, so I think you're lucky.
