I was born in Mammola in 1944, and immigrated to Toronto, Ontario, Canada in 1950. The John Albanese that I know is also now in Toronto. He is the husband of Catarina Albanese(maiden name Zavaglia). She is my mother's stepsister. My mother is Giovanna Agostino(maiden name Zavaglia). Carmelo and Elizabeth Zavaglia were the mother and father of Catarina Albanese. Carmelo Zavaglia was my mother's father who was married to Carmela Giureleo. I hope this is of help. Oh, by the way, you know how the families were known more commonly by nick names?
