Hello from California, My Grandfather was Jose Alarcon his family was from Malaga, Spain. I too am interested in finding out about my families heritage. It seems as though you have a few hundred years head start. They originally came from Spain to Hawaii via a boat where my Grandfathers parents were contracted for 3 years to work in the sugar cane fields in exchange for pasage to the big island. Do you know where I can reference information to start my task? Thank You in advance for your time.
