I am the greatgrand daughter of Luis Alaniz, Sr. I am from his first family. My grandfather was Manuel Alaniz. He was the eldest of all the children. His mother was Jesusa Mascorro spouse of Luis Alaniz, Sr.
I have a picture of your father Andres when he was a boy. It is part of the book I am putting together for my father Raul Alaniz of Kingsville.
Luis, Sr. had a third family made up of three girls. The mother is unknown. Their whereabouts is unknown.
Luis second spouse also went by the last name of Garcia. She lived in Rio Grande City with her grandfather whose last name was Garcia. On the delayed birth certificate of Joaquin Alanis, Guadalupe Alaniz names Virginia Garcia and Luis, Sr. as the parents. She also went by the name of Treviņo which is the last name she used the most.
By the way, I went to school with your sister Yolanda. She gave me a lot of information the last time I was in Kingsville. I plan to be in Kingsville the week of Dec. 20th.
Do you know where greatgrand father Luis, Sr. died and/or is buried? I have not been able to find his death certificate anywhere. I visited Goliad's court house and it was not there.
Was he born in Monterrey? My father said he had come from Linares and Tia Tencha mentioned Matamoros. Where was he born? Would be grateful for this information. Thanks
