Hello.
I'm trying to find an old family friend (different branch of the family tree, I think), and I'm hoping someone here can help.
The parents were Capt. Alaniz (Hidalgo Co. Sheriff's Dept) and his wife Olga. They had a son named Alex who went to Pan American (now UTPAU), and I believe lived in Houston after 1994. The family lived in Pharr, TX, and later in the 1980's & early 1990's lived in San Juan, TX.
I believe the mother's side of the family was from Eagle Pass. Both parents have sadly passed on. I knew the daughter (my dear friend) Ann lived in Austin, TX as recently as 1997. She attended St. Mary's Univ. in San Antonio for a stretch in 1992-1993.
I moved to Europe at that time, and lost touch with her. She was married at one point to a Chris Estrada and lived in El Paso in the mid 1990's.
I am not sure if she's gone to live with her brother in Houston. But I'm hoping this is enough information to ring a bell for someone. Ann & I knew each other very well when she was still in school. I'd just like to let her know I'm working/living happily in Silicon Valley (Sunnyvale, CA), and would like to know how life has been for her lately.
If someone here has knowledge of this family, I'd appreciate someone passing this message on.
