I just happen to stumble back into the Alaniz Forum. Has Nancy contacted you.
I am also a descendant of Hijinto and Ursula Trevino Alaniz but through their daughter, Elugia Alaniz which was my g-grandmother. We found them in 1880 census living around the area of San Diego but more towards the Alice, TX, area. We do not know who Hijinto Alaniz's parents were. I am still waiting to hear from some other Alanizes that live in the Corpus area to see if they might shed some light about who Hijino Alaniz's parents were.
We are also trying to find a family connection with another Alaniz family but from the Sinton, TX, area.
What area, city or state are you from? Which one of Hijino and Ursula's children is your ancestor? I hope to hear from you.
