Hi Danny,

Yes, we have the same lineage. Luis, Sr. is my great grandfather. His son, Manuel Mascorro Alaniz, my grandfather was from Luis, Sr's first family. My great Grandfather Luis, Sr. had three different families. His resided in the San Patricio, co. area where your grandfather Andres Alaniz (My grandfather's half brother) was born in El Charco, Texas close to Goliad. His mother Virginia Trevino went by the last name of Garcia as well. There were about seven children born to Luis, Sr. and Virginia.

Who is your father and mother? Andres Alaniz had five children. I know your Aunt Yolanda well. We attended the same school in Kingsville. I was born and raised in Kingsville, Texas. The daughter of Raul Martinez Alaniz and Alida Martinez Trevino.

The name "Dorina" is very rare. I have been trying to find the origin of the name. Does your sister know the origin of the name "Dorina"? Let me know.

Waiting to hear from you.

The Web site I maintain community.dallasnews.com/dmn/hogar has by alaniz lineage.
