I am also interested in getting info on the Alaniz family! My Grandparents are from Duval county(San Diego, Tx area) We do not have much info on the Alaniz family.
Not long ago a friend gave me some info on the Alaniz family or some Alaniz family history, but was not sure if it was related to me or not. The papers are somewhere in a box and I can look up some info if needed to possibly help you!

The Alaniz family has some remains of a house that was built around 1840's or so in Duval county!
