I am also researching the Alaniz(s) surname. My great grandfather Luis Alanis, Sr. is suppose to have been born en Las Rancherias outside of Monterrey. He had two sons from Jesus Mascorro of Mexico. Manuel Alanis, my grandfather, and his brother stayed in Mexico. Their father Luis, Sr. came to the United States about 1898 and lived in Goliad and San Patricio counties of Texas. He had about nine other children with Virginia Treviņo (or Garcia). All these children were born in Goliad or a small community outside of Goliad - El Charco.

I have not found where my great grandfather died or is buried. I am researching this.

I am also writing a book on the Alanis'.

If anyone has any information, let me know.

I am looking for the parents of Luis Alanis, Sr. from las Rancherias around Monterrey.

Be waiting to hear from you.
Thanks
