Hello my name is Rolando Ramirez...born 1964!
My grandmother Anastacia G. Ramirez (wife of Pedro Cavazos Ramirez) told me last fall of the mother of my grandfather Pedro)
She said that her name was Josefa Alaniz-Tamez Cavazos born around the 1870's (?). She married my Great Grandfather Silverio Ramirez around the late 1890's or first few years of 1900, in Monterrey, MX.
According to what my grandmother said...(by the way, she is still living 09-14-10)....said that her mother in law (Josefa) had been previously married as well...and she had both a boy and a girl prior to marrying my great grandfather. There names where Eulalio & Genoveva Cavazos (fathers name...???)!
I beleive after marrying into the Ramirez clan....they took on the Ramirez name (maybe). Then Silverio and Josefa had additional 4-children (Juan, Beatriz, Manuela...and my grandfather Pedro C. Ramirez/who be the way passed away in the late 70's in a car accident in La Feria, Tx.)
Don't know if Maybe this rings any bells or whistles...but I thought it would not hurt to try.
