Beth,

My grandfather was an only son, but he had 12 children:

Fermin - No Children

Josefa - No children

Benito - His children:
Magaly
Rolando
Arturo
Caridad

Gabriel - one son:
Juan Manuel Alamo

Feliciano - his children:
Armando Alamo
Marie Elena Alamo

Ofelia - No children

Tomas - One son:
Tomas

Armando - no children

Pilar - one son:
Orlando de Quesada

Maria de Socorro - No children

Miguel - No children

Eulelia - No children

My grandparents met and married in Cuba. My grandmother was from Galicia, Maria Pilar Perez Osorio.

The oldest son, Fermin, was born in Cuba. The rest were born in Merida, Mexico. They moved to Mexico when Spain lost the war of 1898. When my father was fourteen, they moved back to Cuba to Puerto Padre, Oriente. They lived there until the late 1930's and early 1940's when they all moved to New York.

I have this Alamo line back to the 1700's.

I hope this helps to see if there is a connection to your line.

Marie Zaret (Alamo - Avila)
