Trying to get any information on James Roland Cobb (b. 8//1860 in Lamar Co., AL d. 5/23/1926 in Lawrence Co., TN). James was married two times. The first to Ann Eliza Smothers (b.12/14/1860 in SC d. 4/3/1905 in Winston Co., AL). After Ann died he married Mattie Gleaton(b. 12/1/1877 in GA d. 7/6/1951 in Lawrence Co., TN). He married both of his wives in Winston County and lived there until about 1920. James and Mattie were in Upshur Co., TX on the 1920 Census. They wre in Tennessee by 1926.
James and Ann had the following children: James Lonzo, Sarah E., William Thomas, John L., Joe F., Ida, Ada, Naomi, Vannah, Richard, and Dallas.
James and Mattie had the following children: Arthur, Mollie, and Cecil. (The 1930 Lawrence Co. TN Census says Cecil is a girl)
James's parents were George Cobb and Caroline Speers (her first name could have actually been Pernicia). I think George Cobb was a Justice of the Peace in Fayette County. George's parents were Wilson Cobb and Grace Greenwood Seaborn.
