Rev. James K. Polk Taylor b. Jan 12, 1845 in Winston Co., Al in the Liberty Grove Community. He was a brother of Elder C. A. Tayor and son of John Taylor who came from Tennessee and settled near where Liberty Grove Church house now stand in the latter 1830's. Brother John Taylor was a popular preacher. He m. Miss amanda Bird. A large family of children were b. to them. He moved to Lawrence Co., Tn late in 1912 and lived the remainder of his life there.. Carrol Taylor brother of John married Liza Cagle. My husband was Truman Honor Lovett who is descended from Rev. James K. Polk Taylor and he told me that the Taylors and Birds came from Tennessee to Winston Co., Al.
