Hi. I don't know much about John W. Hood. I do know that he and Mary are buried at Enmanfield Church Cemetery in Addison. It lists his birth date as 6/11/1864 and death date as 7/2/1934. There is also another John W. Hood buried there (born 4/1846 died 2/5/1902). I don't know anything about his first wife. I do have a lot of info on Mary.
As for the two children of John and Mary that are still living, I went to see the daugher, Lena Bell, a few months ago with my grandmother, and she said someone traced the Hood family pretty far back, but right now I can't think of the person she said. She lives in Addison and my grandmother and I live outside Birmingham. We might be going to see her in May, when my grandmother's sister comes for a visit. The other child, George, I've seen him once a couple of years ago, but don't know him that well. George is the youngest, after Lena Bell.
I don remeber Lena Bell told me that John had two daughters, and something about that they lived in Hawaii, but they have been desceased for a long time.
