Has anyone found where in South Carolina that Edward Harrison Sims was born?? Does anyone know the names of his parents??

Years back Mr. W. G. Washburn of Haleyville, AL. visited at his residence and were of the opinion that his Sims ancestors and my Sims ancestors were somehow connected. Unfortunately, without knowing more about Edward Harrison Sims and nothing about his parents, we cound not be sure.

Five generations of my proven Sims ancestors were residents of Laurens County, South Carolina before migrating to Georgia and Alabama.

William Sims of James City and New Kent Counties, Virginia was the pregenitor of the Sims in America from which I'm a descendant. He wrote his will in 1710 while a resident of James City Co., VA., but liven on until 1725/26 when he died in New Kent Co., VA. This is documented via his will and a suit of 1744 in Louisa Co., VA.

I do know for sure that a branch of my Sims ancestry did include a male named Cicero Sims. Not the same person as Cicero Augusta Sims; b. 18 May 1858 at or near Lynn, Winston Co., AL. to Edward Harrison Sims and wife Martha E. (Morris) Sims.
Also, names found in my Sims ancestry include some of the same names given to descendants of Edward Harrison Sims.

Also, I'm wondering about the name John Wesley Sims. Information that was previously shared with me has his name as John Wiley Sims; b. 6 Feb. 1846 in Cherokee Co., GA. and 1st married abt. 1870 to Emma L. Bonds; b. 7 Jan. 1855 and died 16 Dec. 1875.
Children:
1) Rufus M. Sims; b. 30 Oct. 1872
wife: Leona Hyde
2) Irving M. Sism; b. 29 July 1874
wife: Nina Brumley

John Wiley Sims is reported as having married 2nd to Caroline Louvinia Haynes about whom I've no info.except her name.

1) John Wiley Sims; b. 13 July 1879; d. 15 May 1970
