West's in Winston County

I'm looking for anyone who knows of the William Franklin West family. William Franklin ("Champion") West was my gg-grandfather. He was born Feb 18, 1860, married Martha Louise Butler on September 6, 1899, died on January 1, 1944 and is buried in Macedonia cemetery near Haleyville in Winston County.

I've been told that William Franklin was the son of a James West (b. abt. 1836) and Margaret Pope.

Any information on James or William Franklin or any of their children would be appreciated. Thanks!
