Hello,
Just thought I would drop you all a line and let you know that I have finally got the movie clips for Winston County.
You will need Windows Media Player to view them. Hoyett Wolfe has the originals; Mike Frazier made a video of it. These clips from this video, and they are very poor quality, but it beats not having it at all! The first clip is Clear Creek Falls, before they were flooded to make Smith Lake. The second clip is early street scenes in Double Springs, which is about 1948. The third clip shows inside either the grand opening or a drawing of Crittenden's Store; this particular clip shows several antiques, which was brand new then.
To view these clips, go to: http://wcgs.ala.nu and click on the "Winston County Information" link on your left. Scroll down and click "Movie Clips." You can also access the clips page from the front page under the "What's New?" section.
