I am searching for Thomas B. Gartman in
Winston Co., Alabama . When the Civil War
broke out it is thought he left Murray Co.Ga.
and went to Winston Co.Ala. because he was
appointed Probate Judge 1865. Sometime after
that, he moved to La. I found him and his
wife, Cordelia Barnes in the 1870 census.
What happened to Cordelia after 1870 ? He
moved to Cherokee Co. Tx. and married Mary
Frances Sowell in 1877. Can someone please
help me? Thanks Joyce
