In the Soldier's Application for Pension, Harvey says he was born in Wilcox Co. AL.
I cannot find him listed in the Wilcox Co. census. I find him first listed in 1850
Territory of Florida Census, household #524-525 and it's stated his parents are William and Francis Crane (notice spelling).
He is 14 years old and living in Santa Rosa Co. FL.
He's found next in the 1870 census married to Florida Chance with one child still living in Santa Rosa Co.
