History of the Hawthorne House
Posted by: Robin garner (ID *****4597) Date: January 31, 2012 at 04:42:57

I am looking for someone who know th e history of the Hawthorne house during the Civil War. My ancestor Caleb Garner,1838-1865? supposedly stayed at this house when he came home from the War. Caleb was in the 4th Alabama Regiment (Conecuh Gounty Guards) Co. E. I have heard that there is an engraving of the names of soldiers that stayed at this house after the War, because of sickness, or either wounded. If anyone knows anything about this house, please email me at: robinr3072@yahoo.com.

Thanks, Robin Garner, Robinson
