Does anyone know of death notices for Wilcox County for the time frame of 1890-1900? I believe that my great grandfather John H. Bethea died between 1895-1900. He last appeared on the 1880 census and his family relocated to Escambia County (Canoe area) before 1900. My father Melton Floyd Bethea was born in Buena Vista in 1898 and is listed on the 1900 census in Canoe.

My great greatmother Martha Jane Peavy Bethea moved to Canoe with the rest of her family. Her father was Joshua Peavy a Methodist preacher in Wilcox County between 1890-1860 so some records may exist in Methodist churches near Buena Vista.

I do not know the location of John H. Bethea's grave or his exact date of death. Any assistance would be appreciated.
