It seems the majority of my Hanks family line and related families came through Wilcox Co. Al around 1800! I will list names and dates and would appreciate any info on these lines.
1. William HANKS b. 1774 NC d. 1833 Shelby, TX
m. Sophia REAMS b. 1794 NC d. 23 Aug.1830 TX ??

2. Howell Gillium HANKS b.27 July 1802 AL d.27 May 1844 AL?
m. Rebecca SMITH b.24 July 1807 d. 7 Feb. 1897 AL??

3.Thomas MCBRYDE (MCBRIDE) b. 15 June 1794 d. 1 Dec. 1851
m. Sarah WEED (WELD?) b. 12 Feb. 1796 d. 13 Dec. 1837

4. Isaac STEWART b. 1776 d. 8 July 1859
m. Jane NORRIS b. ? d. ?

Almost all of these families were Associate Reformed Presbyterians that came from the Long Cane Creek area in South Carolina to start a new ARP church in the Camden, Oak Hill area. I think some of them or their ancestors are buried in the Hamburg Cemetery. I do have quite a bit of information on the HANKS family, but I would appreciate any information on these other lines.
Sandra
