Samuel Sellers, b. 1788, and his wife, Alice Cook Sellers, were the parents of Harriett Sellers who married William James Pritchett. After the death of W. J. Pritchett, Harriett married John Robert McDowell. Samuel Sellers is buried in Miller's Ferry, AL, on the Henderson Plantation. There are also Pritchett graves there.

Alice Cook was the sister of Daniel Cook of Cook Hill and Mastin Cook, all of whom lived in Wilcox County, AL.
