Seeking descendants of William F. Spencer, born 13 March 1799, Chesterfield District,SC. died 29 April 1869, Black's Bluff, Wilcox County, Alabama. He married Lucinda Clay Thaxton,7 March 1821 in SC? She was born 26 Nov. 1805 in NC; she died 16 Aug. 1866 in Wilcox County, Ala. She is buried in Coy City Cemetery, Wilcox County, Ala. Known children are: Samuel H. born ca. 1838, Ala.; Oliver H. Spencer, born ca. 1839, ALA.;and George F. Spencer, born 1842, Alabama. Obviously, there were more children, as they married in 1821, and Samuel was born 1838.
