Benjamin David and family appear in the 1840 census for Wilcox Co, AL. He bought patents on land there in the 1830's, once with William H. Pledger. I suspect that this was Benjamin David, Jr, who m. Amelia Carloss (dau of Robertson Carloss) of Marlboro Co, SC. If so, he was the son of Benjamin David, Sr, and Sarah Kolb. Benjamin David, Jr. and Amelia Carloss had at least three known children(more are counted in the 1840 census):
1. Benjamin Robert David who m. Louisiana Jennings Cole, his descendents are at my FTM website

2. Sarah David who m. William Smyth Thompson and is listed in 1850 census for Jasper Co, MS.
3. Olivia C. David who m. Tullius Cicero Dixon and who is listed in the 1880 census in Pass Christian, Harrison Co, MS, and the 1900 census for Austin, Travis Co, TX.
Any information about this David would be appreciated. Glad to trade info.
