I want to know who the parents of William Lee Moore are. Are they William Robert Moore and Lavie Lee? William Lee Moore was born about July 1818 in Alabama [1900 Nacogdoches Co. TX census - Father born in AL and mother born in SC]. On 1 Nov 1838 he married Polly Berry Everitt in Washington County, Alabama. Their first child was born about 1840 in Choctaw County, Alabama. Family records suggest that the names of William Lee Moore's parents are William Robert Moore and Lavie Lee. I have not been able to find a William Robert Moore who would have been born by 1800. William Lee Moore and Polly Berry Everitt separated - probably before his the Civil War. On the 1860 Census for Mobile, Alabama, he was not in the household of Polly. He may have already gone to Texas.
