Martin in Walker County

i have found a Barton Martin in the 1850 Tallapoosa Co. Al. census, then he is in Walker county in the 1860 and 1870 census along with a Davis Martin in the 1870.

Barton would have been born abt. 1794 and Davis about 1815 ....

does anyone know if these men have any connection to the James R.L. Martin who married Sara V. Davis, daughter of Harmon Davis and Nancy Posey???
