I believe that I descend from the William O McKey who was in the 1850 Walker County, AL census. I have found an act of the AL legislature of 1850 which "restored all rights and privileges of other citezans of the state of AL" to William O McKey of Walker County. Can anyone tell me what he did to lose them in the first place?
