Obediah Mayfield was born September 30, 1796 in Chester Co. SC. He died November 20, 1852 in Tuscaloosa Co. AL. He married Harriet Mills, daughter of James Mills and Elizabeth Taylor on September 23, 1824 in Tuscaloosa Co. They had the following children, all born in Tuscaloosa Co.;

1) Elizabeth C. Mayfield, born 1825
2) Martha Mayfield, born 1829
3) James J. Mayfield, born 1834
4) Eveline Helen Mayfield, born 1837

Does anyone know who the father of Obediah Mayfield is? Would like to correspond with any descendants of Obediah Mayfield and Harriet Mills. Will be glad to share what family information that I have. Charlotte G. Boykin
