Greetings, Dolores!
(and you, too, Lorene - will our paths never cease to cross! ;-)

I am a direct descendant of the Daniel LOGGINS to whom you refer. The Margaret you reference from the 1860 enumeration was his second spouse, Margaret McADAMS. As Lorene states, Daniel's first spouse was Mary L. HENDRCKS. It is from this union that I descend. My GGgrandmother was Mary Ann (LOGGINS) SARTAIN.

Daniel and Mary had six known children, while Daniel and Margaret had three. All of these children (except maybe one), as well as Daniel and Margaret migrated to Texas between 1860 and 1870. In addition, all but four of Daniel's eight siblings and their families came here as well. All originally settled in the Austin/Grimes/Waller County area.

If you would like to continue discussing this line, feel free to contact me by private mail. I have quite a bit of information and am discovering more all of the time.

Herman
