The records I need are from the Court Minutes 1853-1858. It concerns the administration of an estate. The will can't be found.
What I need is where the widow declined to serve as administrator.
At the Archives, they have microfilmed index cards stating the record I need is in "Minutes of the Court, Application for Letters of Administration, Oct 24, 1853, page 137." I made a copy of the index cards showing other activity on this estate through 1854, i.e., estate sale, etc.
I was told by an offical at the Archives that I would have to go to Tallapoosa County ..... there is no microfilm or copy of these court minutes outside the courthouse in Dadeville.
Can you tell me how to check and see if these records are on file with LDS?
Sherry
