I am interested in finding out about C.W. William(son), age 28, who is recorded on the 1880 Tallapoosa, AL census as living in the home of Mary Henderson, age 54. They are the only two in the Henderson household; however, nextdoor there are 3 young Henderson males. I believe that C.W. is a brother to my ggrandfather John Merrill Williamson, as there is an 8 years old C.W.William(son) in the household of my gggrandmother Frances Couch Williamson Smith and her second husband, John L. Smith, on the 1860 Randolph County AL census. I am curious about what happened to C.W. and what his relationship was to Mary Henderson. Was Mary Henderson a sibling to one of C.W.s parents (William S. Williamson or Frances Couch)? Or, was his mother'S given name actually Mary "Frances" Couch who had married a 3rd time to a Henderson? Several of the Williamson children ended up in TX, but C.W. does not appear to have been one of them. Did he live out his life in AL? If so, did he die in Tallapoosa? I would appreciate any information that anyone might have regarding these names.
