Just received Elizabeth's death certificate about a week or so ago. She was born 11 APR 1861, not in 1860. William Caldwell was born 15 OCT 1857/8.

Their children were Clifton Caldwell, Benjamin Franklin Caldwell (my great-great grandfather), Eula Evelyn Caldwell, James D. (Dallas?), Cora Lee C. Caldwell, Claude Mitchell Caldwell, Fred Eugene Caldwell, and Virgil Caldwell.

According to the various Census records where she shows up:

1900: Father born in AL, mother born in AL.
1910: Father born in GA, mother born in SC.
1920: Father born in SC, mother born in SC.
1930: Father born in AL, mother born in SC.

She apparently doesn't show up in the 1870 Census and neither her marriage or death certificates name her parents. Also, she didn't file for Social Security. Still looking for Elizabeth's parents.
