I am looking for information (parents specifically, but all other info would prove helpful) on my Great Great Great Grandfather William Joseph Campbell. He was born circa 1852 in supposedly Alabama. He married a Frances M. Goss in 1869 (daughter of Charles Simeon Goss and Mahalie A. Smith), in Tallapoosa County, Alabama.(listed as Gross on the Tallapoosa County marriage page) From what I've researched, he had a brother named Robert Campbell who married a sister of Frances', names Lucy A. Goss in 1865 in Tallapoosa County as well. I had someone look in the 1870 Tallapoosa County Alabama census, and they couldn't find William or Robert. I did, however, find William in the 1870 census. He is listed with his children, and married to a Cooney Campbell. That throws me off somewhat, but maybe that was Frances' nickname...?? Below is the info from the 1880 census.

The son listed as David, was my Great Great Grandfather. His name was David Jackson Campbell. If anyone has any info on William Joseph Campbell, please relay the info to me.
