Seeking Mallory Surname DNA Study Participants
Are you or your relative a male descendant of Uriel Mallory and Hannah Cave?
My grandfather was Reno Mallory of Todd County, Kentucky.
He died young and his children lost touch with the Mallorys.
In my generation, we have re-united via the internet.
We have been able to trace our branch back to William Mallory, Jr. who migrated with his wife, Catherine Harris and children from Virginia to Kentucky in 1812.
Previous family researchers identified him as the grandson of Uriel Mallory and Hannah Cave.
In his Agricultural Journal, "Fear God and Walk Humbly" James Mallory is clear that his cousin, Uriel and Hannah's grandson William Mallory, Jr. went to Talladega, Alabama.
Unless Uriel and Hannah's son William Mallory, Sr. named two (2) sons "William", it's unlikely that our branch and Uriel's is the same.
My uncle and his third cousin, once removed have donated cheek swabs for DNA testing and their results are identical.
A Georgia branch participant has DNA results that match 11 of 12 markers.
If a male Mallory known to be a descendant of Uriel Mallory and Hannah Cave can be located, his unique DNA markers may establish that branch's identity for comparison.
Any reply will be appreciated.
