11th BATTALION LOUISIANA INFANTRY (CIVIL WAR)
The 11th Battalion Louisiana Infantry was consolidated on
Nov. 3, 1863 with the 16th Battalion (also known as the
Confederate Guards Response Battalion) and the original
Crescent Regiment Louisiana Infantry (also known as the 24th
Regiment) to form the Consolidated Crescent Regiment Louisiana
Infantry.
Most of the men who survived and were captured on board
Queen of the West were paroled about a month later below Port
Hudson, LA.
JAMES T. MORGAN, not given, enlisted 25 Jun 1862 at
Natchitoches, LA, born Talladega Co. AL, age 21, blue eyes, light
hair, fair complexion, occupation farmer.(his enlistment paper
was filed with Thomas J. Moore)
