Gray, Reed Talladega, Alabama

I am trying to figure out if this James Reed could be my
g-g grandfather. Could anyone here be connected to this family, or know anything about them?

1870 Talladega, Al. census
James W Gray 37 Al farmer
Susan Gray 25 Al
Sallie Reed 13 Al
Mary Reed 11 Al
George Reed 9 Al
James Reed 7 Al

I do know that Susan Reed married James Gray in 1965.

As far as the information goes with my g-g- grandfather... he was born in Talladega County, Alabama. His name was James I Reed. He was about 70 when he passed away September 27, 1937 in an auto accident in Sayreton. He was married to Dora Bradley. He's buried in Walkers Chapel, birth date was 10-7-1862. His father is listed as J Reed born in Ala., his mother is D.K. on the papers (don't know?). The article in the news about the accident says that he had many brother's and sisters, but doesn't list any and there is no obituary.
I have his death certificate, the newspaper article, and I've been to the cemetery. His son William Reed is buried there, along with most of William's sons, including my grandfather.
Does anyone know what else I can do to try and find him? TIA
Shannon
