RUSHINGS in Sumter Co., Ala.

Can someone tell me the names of the children of WILLIAM RUSHING (b. ca. 1786) and MARY unk. (b. 1790). I know that one of the sons was named JOHN PAUL and that he lived and is buried somewhere in Sumter Co., Ala.

Am having a difficult time finding documented parents of my Laban Rushing (b. ca. 1812 in North Carolina - ALL of his census records say North Carolina). This Laban married Rosannah Harrell in 1831 in Anson Co., N. C., and then shortly after moved to Sumter Co., Ala., where most of his children were born. He had settled in Scott Co., Miss., by 1852 when he purchased his first land there. I'm beginning to think the fellow may have been hatched!!!

Frustrated in Texas,

Betty Clifton bclifton65@att.net
