I am looking for information on Thomas K. Thomas b. c1808, VA, who married Mary Anna Thomas b. c1821, NC, in Sumpter County, AL on Jan. 10, 1848. I haven't found them yet in the 1850 census, but they are listed in the 1860 and 1870 Sumpter Census with a Gaston P.O. address. They had two children, Thomas K. Thomas, Jr. and Mary Anna Thomas born c1851 and c1854 respectively. Mary Anna (the daughter was married twice, the first time to ? Allen. She is listed as a widow in the 1880 Sumpter, Gaston Census with three small children.
There is a reference to a T. K. Thomas, who was editor and publisher of "The Voice of Sumpter" newspaper in 1836.
Does anyone know anything about these people, where they were buried, who was the Allen that marrried Mary Anna, where was Gaston located, or anything?
