Do you have any information on the George Lacy you mentioned? My husband's ancestor is Mary Elizabeth Lacy, b. 17 March 1838, who married Rolley H Spinks in Lauderdale Co MS about 1846.

She fits the Mary E Lacy who is shown to be the daughter of Austin H Lacy and Charlotte Jones by researchers. A Mary E Lacy, minor heir of Austin H Lacy, has Isaac Spinks (Charlotte Jones' second husband) as her guardian in Probate Court in Lauderdale Co MS. Austin H Lacy and Charlotte Jones were married 11 Dec 1829 in Marengo Co.

Everything fits her being Austin H and Charlotte's daughter, but I just received her death certificate and her father is given by her dauther-in-law as George Lacy and mother's maiden name Jones.

Do you have anything that would help with Mary Elizabeth Lacy Spinks' father - Austin H or George?
